Alice's Math Workshop

Picture
Hi, my name is Alice Murphy.  I have been teaching at the elementary level for the past seventeen years.  Seven years ago, out of frustration and need, I developed a math workshop model to use in my classroom.  Since then I have shared this model with many teachers through Oakland School presentations, at Professional Development Meetings and at the Best Practices Conferences.  Many districts have brought small groups of teachers into my classroom to watch the Math Workshop model in action and hold a debriefing session afterwards.  I have had the pleasure of meeting many teachers along the way who are interested in providing the best math practices for all their students.
Are you interested in starting Math Workshop in your classroom?  You have come to the right place.  Read on to start your math workshop journey.
